Beacons of Light by Belinda van Rensburg

A beacon in the blackest night
flashing signals of bright light,
warning men of hidden dangers –
be they friends, or foes, or strangers.

Ships tossed about on stormy oceans
or sent adrift by tidal motions
depend upon the warning beams
which flow from lighthouses in streams.

Likewise we should Christ declare
to the dying world out there;
to warn the children of the night
and guide the lost toward God’s Light.

Hallowed Be Thy Name by louis gander © 2009

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name,
because you first, so loved the world –
we’re changed and not the same.

We once were so despicable,
like soiled, dirty rags,
but now we wait as loyal friends,
as a puppy’s tail wags.

They say that dogs are man’s best friend –
trusting pure and true,
so faithfully we follow –
our faith is all in You.

There’s nothing we can turn to,
nothing that we own,
nothing we can build upon –
except Your corner stone.

We wait on Your great wisdom,
we live on Your great strength,
and then as faithful servants,
we serve to greater length.

We cannot hold Your love inside.
We cannot live the same –
we must shine bright and tell the world!
Hallowed be Thy name.

Sharing The Good News by Gertrude Jefferies

Of myself I am not able
To fulfill my Lord’s command.
Only in Christ do I have the power
To love my fellowman.

He gives me strength to speak to them,
And tell them that God is love
And that He came to die for them
Reconciling to God above.

For the love of God goes deeper
Than the depths of sin and shame
And the grace of God reaches out to all
Who call upon His name.

For there is power in the Name of Christ
And love beyond all measure
To every child of Adam’s race
Who would obtain the Treasure.

But I must be the hand of God
Stretched out to those in sin
And I must work while it is day
To bring the wanderer in.

Now is the Time by Belinda van Rensburg

Children of the Promise; Redeemed of the Lord –
now is the time to take up God’s Sword;
to wear the full armour of God night and day
so that Satan can’t tempt us or lead us astray.

Be wise as serpents yet gentle as doves,
speaking God’s Truth in boldness and love;
standing in faith, not giving an inch;
praying for strength so we won’t even flinch.

The harvest is ripe and ready for reaping;
many lost souls are at this moment seeking.
Go now and find them and help them to see
that only in Jesus can man be set free.

Jesus Wept Over Jerusalem by Margaret Cagle

Jesus wept over Jerusalem
While on this earth below.
Something broke His heart,
And this made His tears flow.

What was on His dear heart
As He came to the city that day?
Why did he weep for them
As he rode upon His way?

Christ Jesus came to His own.
He came to die for them.
When He wept for Jerusalem,
He knew they’d reject Him.

Does Jesus also shed tears
As He looks on men today,
When they reject His plan
As salvation’s only way?

Does it also break His heart
When we disobey His Word,
When we don’t share the Gospel
With those who have not heard?

If I Could by Belinda van Rensburg

If I could touch the silver stars
and free all creatures behind bars,
I’d sail upon the soft warm winds
and release captured living things.

If I could swim the roaring seas
and speak the language of the trees,
I’d teach all mankind to love more
and to repent from making war.

Though I can’t do all these great things,
true hope to lost souls I can bring.
On eagle’s wings I’ll soar up high
and shout His Message from the sky.

Finish The Work by Cindy Wyatt

While working for Jesus
we have to press on til we finish
laboring for our master
and selfish goals relinquish

to look on the harvest fields
that are already ripe
to reap in the lost souls
of every color and stripe

loving souls as we labor
the way that Jesus did
giving out the saving message
not letting the gospel light be hid

We must finish the work
that Jesus gave us to do
to lay up treasures in heaven
and to our calling ever be true

John 4:34 — Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

John 6:27 — Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

A Soul Go-Getter by Deborah Ann Belka

Knowing God loves me,
how can you top that?
He always has out for me
His, welcome mat.

Invites me every day,
to fellowship with Him
to worship and adore
with praises and hymns.

Knowing God loves me,
is so very surreal . . .
how to a sinner like me
He made Himself real.

Saved by His mercy,
forgiven with grace
once His Son, Jesus
my heart did embrace.

Knowing God loves me,
it doesn’t get any better
tis why I’ll always be . . .
for Him, a soul go-getter!

Mark 16:15 — “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
