Of myself I am not able
To fulfill my Lord’s command.
Only in Christ do I have the power
To love my fellowman.
He gives me strength to speak to them,
And tell them that God is love
And that He came to die for them
Reconciling to God above.
For the love of God goes deeper
Than the depths of sin and shame
And the grace of God reaches out to all
Who call upon His name.
For there is power in the Name of Christ
And love beyond all measure
To every child of Adam’s race
Who would obtain the Treasure.
But I must be the hand of God
Stretched out to those in sin
And I must work while it is day
To bring the wanderer in.
